Meet Brenda!

Have you met Brenda? She's our Director of Sales and has been with our team since 2015. Brenda is a fabulous cook, loves spending time with her sons, and has a weakness for shoe shopping! If you've met her, you know how warm and energetic she is! 

While she works remotely from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, she's an integral part of our team! A certified road warrior, she often represents the company at industry conferences. Learn more about her thoughts on working at Single Source!

What's your favorite part of your job?

I love the people I get to work with every day. The team at Single Source is comprised of amazing people with many talents whom I continue to learn from all the time. I also get to constantly meet new potential customers, get to know them, and build lasting partnerships with them, which is very fulfilling for me on a personal and professional level.

My philosophy at work and in my personal life is that honesty and integrity are absolutely key to happiness, peace and success. I approach every conversation, every thought process and every sales cycle with this in the forefront of my mind.

What's the most important career lesson you've learned?

It is critical to be part of an organization or team that has the same values as you do. Honesty, Integrity, Teamwork, Creative Thinking, Collaboration and Work/Life Balance are important to me, so they need to be important to the company I work for.

Any cool client moments that stick out in your mind?

I have so many, but each one has to do with a way in which I played a role in a client’s success. Most recently, we welcomed a new customer to our family that came to us through word of mouth. This customer had a long-time friendship with a former SSS employee which got us included in their initial long list of vendors. We were able to successfully make it to the short list and eventually earned their business by really getting to know them, understanding their business requirements, proving out our solution and gaining their trust. The cool part of the story and also another career lesson is that word of mouth can be your best marketing tool. Never burn a bridge because what comes around really does go around. Your reputation is important, so you need to stand by your word and deliver the results as promised.
